The Jo Vaillancourt educational game collection by Fun-Max is intended for all human beings wishing to deepen the relationship with their parrot, while teaching the animal a multitude of educational and distracting games. The parrot is a very intelligent animal that is rapidly bored when lacking stimulating interactions with a companion or a social group (the companion being you, and the social group your family). The parrot needs to take part in interactive activities in order to feel like a full member of the community. During my working years with the parrots and the human beings, two questions have often been asked: How can I have fun with my parrot? And: How can I teach him tricks? It is in answer to these questions that I elaborated, along with Fun-Max, a line of educational and interactive toys entirely based on my “TRAINING METHOD FOR PARROTS © JOHANNE VAILLANCOURT”. This line allows the parrot lover to have fun with his bird while stimulating the animal to develop its curiosity, its intelligence, its faculty to reason, its attention, its intellectual and physical abilities, and as a bonus, it gives the human being the opportunity to acquire more patience. Training a parrot must be gratifying for the bird and for you. Learning new tricks must give the animal self-confidence and increase its confidence in you. It is not a question of control. The training sessions must always be positive and fun. The parrot must enjoy itself and forget that it is learning. Age is not a factor in learning new games. It is a mistake to think that a parrot might be too old to learn. On the other hand, each parrot has its own temperament and its own learning pace. The speed with which the bird will succeed in learning new games depends on:  Interest of the part of the bird  the quality of the trainer  the time and constancy allowed to training you must not have unrealistic expectations. The important is not for the parrot to learn rapidly all the games (you have a life time ahead of you); it is to develop confidence by correctly executing the games that it has learnt, and then, take on new challenges at its own rhythm. This is rewarding for the parrot. The aim of the activity is for you to have quality time with your bird, and for the animal to become aware of its importance in your eyes. Now go ahead, have fun with your bird Please note that some parrots will always be reluctant to training, but be reassured, it is a minority, some rare exceptions.
